This 1966 Ford Mustang fastback was acquired by the current owner in the early 1990s and subsequently underwent a second, three-year refurbishment that was completed in 2018. In 2013, work included installing a Ford 408ci stroker V8 paired with a Tremec 3550 five-speed manual transmission and fitting replacement flared body panels to the all-steel body as well as a reinforced frame. A repaint in matte gray with a black over-the-top stripe was performed along with the addition of a Heidts four-link suspension kit with fully adjustable adjustable coilovers, a custom-fabricated Monte Carlo bar, 18″ Rocket Racing wheels, power-assisted Baer four-piston brake calipers, and Cobra bucket racing-style seats that have provisions for Schroth four-point harnesses. A padded roll cage has also been fitted, and additional features include FiTech fuel injection, an oversized aluminum radiator with an electric fan, a tilting Ididit steering column, a Hurst shifter, and a Mustang-branded Bluetooth stereo wired to a pair of JL Audio subwoofers. This Mustang is now offered on dealer consignment in Arizona with build records, dyno test results, and a clean Tennessee title.
