Description

This 1959 Ferrari 250 Testarossa was commissioned in 1982 from a 1962 Ferrari 250GTE. The tube chassis and body were fabricated in New Zealand by Rod and Errol Tempero and built to the same specifications as the original 250TR. Ferrari specialists Bob Wallace and Ted Wenz rebuilt the 3.0 128F V12 engine, which is mated to a modified 3550 5 speed transmission. The motor has approximately 400 miles since it was rebuilt.

The car includes FIA documents dated 1998 and is built as a tribute to the 1959 Sebring factory team car driven by Dan Gurney and Phil Hill.
