This 1956 Austin-Healey BN2 Roadster is one of 640 factory-built 100M “Le Mans” specification cars produced between 1955 and 1956, and it is finished in Old English White and red with a black soft top over black leather. It was completed on October 13, 1955, as a North American-market example, and it was sold by B.C. Importers of Miami, Florida in October 1959 to a long-term owner of 39 years. The replacement 2,660cc inline-four was rebuilt in 2019 with an aluminum cylinder head from Denis Welch, forged 8.5:1-compression Arias pistons, a ground and re-hardened camshaft from Elgin, and a high-volume oil pump. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Work performed since November 2022 included rebuilding the carburetors as well as replacing the clutch, resealing the front of the transmission, and replacing the pinion gear, oil pan, rear main seal, timing and valve cover gaskets, and ignition components. This 100M is now offered in Arizona by the selling dealer with a 100M “Le Mans” Registry Certificate of Membership, a 1959 sales invoice, service records, and a clean Michigan title.
