Description

This 1978 Porsche 911SC is a German-market example that received Safari-style modifications in 2018-19 under prior ownership. Lifted suspension was fitted along with aluminum skid plates, front and rear bumper guards, auxiliary lights, Recaro seats, PRP harnesses, a multi-point roll bar, and a Sparco steering wheel. Power comes from a 3.0-liter flat-six equipped with 964-grind cams, and the 915 transaxle was fitted with with shorter 2nd-4th gears and a Wavetrac limited-slip differential. The car was listed on BaT in March 2019 and purchased by its current owner the following year. Subsequent work included a repaint in satin silver and applying black and white graphics in addition to refinishing the 16″ Fuchs wheels and resealing the engine and exterior. Elephant Racing Von Shocks coilovers, Griffiths air conditioning, and an SSI exhaust system have been fitted, and the alternator, fuel-level sender, tires, and more were replaced. StanceWorks showcased the vehicle, and it was also driven on Hooniverse in November 2018. Awarded “Best Car” at the 2018 Momo Road to Rennsport Reunion VI rally, this modified 911SC coupe is now offered on dealer consignment in Oregon with a Porsche Production Specifications certificate, service records, refurbishment photos, and a clean Colorado title.
