This 1973 Mercedes-Benz 280SE 4.5 sedan was acquired by its current owner in 2021 and subsequently reassembled, refurbished, and modified. The replacement 4.5-liter V8 was rebuilt by Metric Motors, and the the hydraulic compensator for the suspension was rebuilt in Germany. The exterior was refreshed with details including H4 headlights, filled side marker holes, and refinished 15″ Fuchs forged Bundts, the interior was redone with Cognac leather, a rebuilt sunroof mechanism and air-conditioning system, a Bluetooth-capable Becker stereo, and Dynamat insulation under the replacement carpeting. Following completion of the build, the car participated in the 2024 Copperstate 1000. This W108 280SE 4.5 sedan is now offered on dealer consignment at no reserve with records, the owner's manual, spare parts and wheels, and a clean Arizona title.
