Description
This 2008 Porsche 911 GT3 RS is one of 410 examples built for the US market during a two-year production run, and it was delivered new to Ed Carroll Motor Co. in Fort Collins, Colorado. The car is powered by a 3.6-liter flat-six paired with a six-speed manual transaxle and is finished in orange over black leather and Alcantara upholstery. Equipment includes the Sport Chrono Package, 19″ alloy wheels, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes, a limited-slip differential, a fixed rear wing, and bi-xenon headlights.
The hard-back sport seats are upholstered in black leather with matching Alcantara inserts and orange stitching. Amenities include dual-zone automatic climate control, the Sport Chrono Package, and PCM 2.1 with extended navigation. Additional interior appointments include GT3 RS-branded carbon-fiber door sill guards and a leather-wrapped dashboard, center console, and center arm rest, the latter of which features a debossed GT3 RS logo. The stereo was reportedly replaced in December 2017.
The 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six features VarioCam variable valve timing as well as titanium connecting rods and dry-sump lubrication. It was factory rated at 415 horsepower and 299 lb-ft of torque. Work completed in January 2021 by Rusnak Westlake Porsche of Thousand Oaks, California, included replacement of the spark plugs, serpentine belt, and engine air filter.
