Description
This 1970 Ford F-100 is a Styleside short-bed pickup that was purchased by the owner in California in 2016, and the subsequent custom build completed in 2021 involved the installation of a 5.0-liter Coyote V8 along with a Tremec five-speed manual transmission and an 8.8″ rear end. The chassis was fitted with a Crown Victoria-sourced aluminum front suspension crossmember with disc brakes and rack-and-pinion steering as well as a rear four-link assembly with Ridetech coilovers and C-notched frame rails for clearance. The bed floor was modified to accommodate the filler for the relocated fuel tank, and the bedside stake pockets and rear marker lights were shaved, after which the filled areas were blended with the worn maroon paint on the rest of the body. Bronze-finished bumpers have been smoothed and tucked, and the grille, badges, and door handles are finished to match. Inside, modified Recaro bucket seats are trimmed in tan leather and accompanied by a fabricated center console, air conditioning, a tilt steering wheel, and Dakota Digital Gauges. This modified F-100 pickup is now offered on consignment in Arizona by the selling dealer, a BaT Local Partner, with an Oregon title.
