Description

This 1963 Elva Mk VII sports racer is said to have been first delivered to racer and team owner Carl Haas, and was owned and raced by Joe Blacker, Hamish Summerfield, and Richard Scott from the late 1990s through its most recent on-track appearance in 2008 at the US Vintage Grand Prix at Watkins Glen in New York. The current owner acquired the car in September 2010 and has subsequently replaced the tubular chassis and bodywork, and power is provided by a 1,600cc Ford-Lotus twin-cam inline-four with an alloy block and a Richardson cylinder head. The car is equipped with a modified Hewland Mk. V five-speed manual transaxle, a replacement molded seat, a fire suppression system, and Avon racing tires.
