Description
This 1948 Kurtis-Kraft is an open-wheel midget race car that is said to have been raced by Larry Dunham from 1948 to 1989 and subsequently refurbished. It participated in the 2004 and 2007 Monterey Historics. The car is finished in white with a red livery, and power comes from an alcohol-powered 136ci Ford flathead V8 paired with an Ultima 6 six-speed sequential gearbox. Features include a fixed seat trimmed in black vinyl as well as an Edelbrock intake manifold, Offenhauser water manifolds, an onboard starter, MSD ignition components, a Tilton clutch, four-wheel disc brakes, and 13″ Halibrand magnesium wheels with knock-off hubs. This Kurtis midget is now offered on dealer consignment in Portland, Oregon, with a custom trailer and a bill of sale.
