This Ford Mustang is a Trans Am TA2 race car that has competed in TA2, GT2, and SCCA Pro Racing events and was acquired by the selling dealer as a personal car in 2021. The Mike Cope tube-frame chassis wears Mustang-styled bodywork finished in gray and power is provided by a Sampson Racing Engines-built 351ci Windsor V8 paired with a GSR G-Force four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes 15″ Bassett wheels, an adjustable Motion Control Suspension, Wilwood brake calipers, a Gleason rear differential, an adjustable rear wing, a Pyrotect 26-gallon fuel cell, a custom exhaust system, a Racetech racing seat, a fire suppression system, an AiM data acquisition system, and a MOMO steering wheel. A service totaling over $66k was carried out in 2022 that consisted of refreshing the body as well as overhauling the engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, and electrical system. This Mustang Trans Am race car is now offered by the selling dealer in Oregon with service records, spare parts, log books, and a bill of sale.
