This 1973 Volkswagen Thing is finished in green with a replacement brown soft top over brown vinyl upholstery and is powered by a 1.6L flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Additional equipment includes 15″ chrome-finished wheels, black-painted bumpers, a folding windshield, chrome-finished side mirrors, side air-intake scoops, duckboard flooring, folding rear seats, and a Kenwood CD head unit. The car is said to have been refurbished with a repaint and a refresh of the interior and was acquired by the current owner in 2015. The spark plugs, battery, and wheel cylinders were replaced in preparation for the sale, at which time the valves and drum brakes were adjusted, and a brake fluid flush and oil change were performed. This Type 181 is now offered on dealer consignment with an Oregon title.
