This 1959 Porsche 356A 1600 Super is a factory sunroof coupe that was purchased new by a US Air Force Captain on April 23, 1959, from Max Hoffman Motor Car Co. in New York City. Chassis 106732 was then acquired by a fellow serviceman in 1962 and remained in their care until 2016 when it was purchased by the current owner. The car is finished in Ruby Red over black leatherette and powered by a replacement 1.6-liter flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes 15″ Lemmerz steel wheels, body-color bumpers with polished overriders, Lucas driving lights, a Reutter rack, lap seatbelts, a CB radio, and a push-button Blaupunkt radio. This 356A is now offered on dealer consignment in Arizona with service records from new, an original purchase contract, owner's manuals, historical photos and literature, a tool kit, a removed engine, a Kardex report, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and a clean Montana title in the name of the owner's LLC.
