This 1968 Shelby Mustang GT500 is one of 402 convertible examples produced for the model year and was sold new at Tasca Ford in East Providence, Rhode Island. It is finished in Highland Green over Saddle upholstery and powered by an overbored 428ci V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a power-operated white soft top, functional hood scoops, a rear spoiler, 15″ aluminum wheels, Koni shocks, front disc brakes, power-assisted steering, a roll bar, a heater, and a Philco AM radio. The car was acquired by the current owner in 2015, and subsequent work has included rebuilding the engine, carburetor, transmission, and differential in addition to replacing the convertible top cylinders. This GT500 convertible is now offered on dealer consignment with a Deluxe Marti report, service records, and a clean Arizona title.
