This 1973 BMW 3.0CSi was delivered new to Milan, Italy, and imported to California during original ownership in the 1980s. The car was purchased by the current owner in 2011, and subsequent refurbishment work performed over a 15-month period by The Werk Shop of Libertyville, Illinois, involved repainting the vehicle in gray, reupholstering the brown leather interior, and installing a fuel-injected M30B34 inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission and a 3.64:1 limited-slip differential. Equipment includes Enkei 14″ wheels, power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, Carl Nelson lowering springs, Bilstein dampers, 17mm sway bars, Pertronix electronic ignition, E21-sourced Recaro front seats, three-point front seatbelts, air conditioning, a Petri steering wheel, and a Becker Europa AM/FM radio. The car was listed on BaT in July 2021, and subsequent work has included re-coring the radiator, adjusting the valves, and replacing the cylinder head gasket and spark plug wires. This modified E9 is now offered on dealer consignment in Oregon with a tool kit, manufacturer's literature, refurbishment photos, an issue of Bimmer magazine featuring the car, service records dating back to 1973, and a clean Illinois title.
