This 1959 MG is one of 711 MGA coupes imported to North America for the model year and was acquired by the current owner in 2012 as a non-running project car. Work carried out over the subsequent 10 years consisted of repairing the body and chassis, reupholstering the interior, and rebuilding the 1,588cc inline-four, four-speed manual transmission, and rear differential. The suspension, braking, and electrical systems were also overhauled. Additional equipment includes 15″ steel wheels, hubcaps, Lucas driving lights, dual SU carburetors, a high-torque starter, a Smiths heater, and Jaeger gauges. This MGA 1600 is now offered on dealer consignment in Oregon with refurbishment photos, a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate, and a clean Washington title.
