Description
This 1992 Porsche 911 race car began life as a road-going 964 and was modified with GT Racing 993 GT2 Evo-style fiberglass bodywork to compete in SCCA, Porsche Motorsport North America Air-Cooled Cup, and Porsche Club of America events. Power is provided by a modified 3.8L flat-six paired with a 993 six-speed manual transaxle and a Guard 997 GT3 cup limited-slip differential. Additional equipment includes a 996 Cup carbon-fiber rear wing, 16″ Jongbloed wheels, 993 Turbo front brakes, monoball suspension, adjustable sway bars, MoTeC engine management with Rothsport individual throttle bodies, a roll cage, Tilton pedal assembly, a Recaro carbon-Kevlar racing seat, a Coolsuit system, GT3 Cup power steering, a Motorola radio, a data logger, a Rothsport shifter and steering wheel, and a Fire Sense fire suppression system. The selling dealer acquired the car in 2018, and work carried out since 2020 includes an engine rebuild by Dick Elverud, replacing fuel cell, installing two-way JRZ Suspension Engineering shocks, and rebuilding the axles.
