This 1962 Porsche 356B is one of 249 “twin grille” roadsters built with bodywork from Belgian coachbuilder D'Ieteren Frères. Chassis 89702 was refurbished by Stoddard Imported Cars of Willoughby, Ohio, in the early 1980s before it was purchased by racing driver Monte Shelton in 1992. The car is finished in black over matching upholstery, and power comes from a replacement 1.6-liter Type 616/16 flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Features include 15″ chrome ventilated steel wheels, a black convertible top, an aftermarket exhaust system, and a Nardi steering wheel. Service performed in 2023 included changing the oil, adjusting the valves and brakes, and replacing the fan belt, tires, and various gaskets. This twin-grille roadster is now offered on dealer consignment with a copy of the Kardex, a partial tool kit, service records, and a clean Oregon title in the name of the Shelton family trust.
