This 1997 Mercedes-Benz G36 AMG is a left-hand-drive Japanese-market example that was modified by AMG Japan when new and spent time in Europe before it was imported to the US in 2023. The vehicle is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic over black leather upholstery and is powered by a 3.6-liter inline-six linked to a four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and three locking differentials. Equipment includes 16″ alloy wheels, later-style headlights, running boards, side-exit exhaust outlets, a sunroof, heated and power-adjustable front seats, air conditioning, aftermarket speakers, and a Blaupunkt stereo. Work in preparation for the sale included dry-ice cleaning the engine bay, refinishing the valve cover, performing wheel repairs, and replacing the battery, valve cover gasket, spark plugs, and front brake rotors.
