This 1986 Porsche 944 is one of 31 factory-built race cars produced for the Canadian Rothmans Porsche 944 Challenge that competed in the 1986 and 1987 seasons. It was reportedly imported to the US in 2003 and campaigned by the late Joe Hrymack to two 944 Cup Racing series national championships in 2006 and 2007. The car is finished in red with Rothmans livery, and power is from a rebuilt 3.0-liter inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes 17″ wheels, a coilover suspension, a custom exhaust system, Sparco seats with Schroth Racing harnesses, a roll cage, and a MOMO steering wheel. This 944 Challenge is now offered at no reserve on dealer consignment in Oregon with service records and a clean Washington state title.
